I converted Everything out from a 88 to a 89 Specific Wiring harness. I bought a 89 ECU from a Friend of mine in california not knowing that the ECU were a little different ie... Code 71. I did the Resister mod as everyone recommended and now Im getting this Beep/Buzz Every 2 or 3 seconds from the ECU. Is this something normal is the 89+ ECUs. Im not driving the car as my A/F ration at normal driving condition are 13.3 to 13.8 and my VF signal is a perfect 2.5 to 2.8v at cruising. Sometimes it will drop to the High 12s and other times it will just drop to Pig lean. All this started after the ECU started this weird beeping/buzzing sound.
Any Suggestions. Should I find a Non California spec ECU and try this. Again, It didnt start until the Code 71 Mod was done. Code is gone but ECU is beeping now.
