Who's got the earliest VIN?
I read a thread today that got me wondering who out there has the oldest operational MK3. Check the last 7 on your VIN and lemme hear you. :icon_bigg

I have two:

0013115 - just bought this as a donor
0009250 - bought this 21 years ago and I'm bringing it back from the dead... well, bringing it back from the ugly. :biglaugh:

What do we win?

Check out the compliance date on the right hand plate, 4/86. Which means it was complianced on that date, but built before, so maybe 2/86.

Looks like yours and Typhoon's are close siblings. And you just dashed his hopes of a scrumptuous treat packed with figgy goodness.

Do you US guys have the same plant number on your cars as ours (A53)? Wondering if they were all built in the same plant for the whole world.
