7MGTE strange A/C symptom
What's going on?
Did an LV - LA run with the A/C running on recirc air. Outbound cruise 3500 rpm. Late in the run the seemingly cold air would not cool the interior. The upper interior air became very warm. I relieved it only be opening the windows.
On the return cruise @ 3000rpm, I got a bright idea. When the same symptom happened, I shut off the a/c for a while, set the temp at its lowest and with fan only it continued to cool the interior. After a bit, I restarted the A/C and it worked fine. Did this same cycle 2-3 times more on that run.

Is something icing up? Compressor at high speed issue? ???

If it cools down after being shut off a while, it is probably icing up. You could have a very small leak and it is drawing in moisture.

Also, if the evaporator is icing up, you will have alot of water coming out of the drain on shut-down. (if it is not blocked)
