hey guys, im currently rebuilding/freshening up my 7mgte-u out of my turbo-a supra but the only catch is that its been sitting in my back yard un driven/started for the last 5 years.

im planing on re doing my head/head gasket(cometic metal 2mm),arp studs, every gasket/seal changed in the motor, major service, new pulleys, all brand new silicone hoses (ebay kit, does any one know if these are any good?) every oil/fluid changed
as well as clutch, brakes, sway bars and rebuild or change my turbo.

do you guys think the bottom end will be ok if i hand crank it a few times?

the crap on the cams wipes off with my finger but i dont think the other surface rust will :(
does this mean i need new cams/valves etc etc ?

It depends, pull the oil pan and inspect everything. Does anything look rusted? Do you see a lot of heat scoring marks? If you're going to service the entire engine, why not rebuild the bottom end with new arp hardware and bearings at least? Also, make sure you install new valve springs and reshim the valves.

if i was to do the bottom end would it be worth getting the eagle or cp forged pistons/rods ?
to be honest im looking to make around high 200's to 300rwkw.
would a 7mgte be able to handle that power comfortably ? what would let go 1st?

taking your advice and ripping motor out and doing bottom end as well.

will a TSRM give me all the torque settings i need ?

TSRM will give you all of the torque settings. The 7m can handle roughly 500 rwhp with stock internals if done properly.

Just make sure if you go with arp hardware you follow their torque procedure to the T.

clean the cams in varsol to get all the crud off, then you may be able to take a fine emory cloth and polish some of the surface rust off the cam lobes. How do the caps look on the inside? Any scoring?
