30psi, 64mm p-trim bolt on turbo. 3in full exhaust, .040 over cp pistons, 2.5in piping to DM intercooler, snow performance meth inj. with the aem ems.. Something i dont get is i made 500rwhp/ 443wtq at 20 psi and now make 540rwhp/ 560wtq at 30psi.. I should be close to 600rwhp.. But I did get about 120ftlbs :) ... My tuner said the flow or something is out of efficientcy so intercooler? Have the head ported? any suggestions guys. Any one have stock head and cams over 600 or close to the wheels? I cant see the turbo being maxed out.. i will have to post up my graph and dyno vid.

i know what he ment.. its has a 4in inlet 2.5in outlet t4 center with a .81 a/r exhaust thats why i asked about flow with either getting a bigger intercooler, or having the head ported would help.

very nice, I had the same problem with my speed 3 back in the day, not enough turbo, even though it could boost 25psi, thats what it'd peak out at, went from 18psi at 365whp to only 395whp at 25psi

stuck in a gt35 series and at 25psi it went up to 445whp.

445whp in a Mazda 3 chassis? Good Lord man... my girlfriend has one (non turbo, and an auto unfortunately), and the chassis is great, but I can't imagine having to deal with that much power in a FWD application.

To the OP, head work is not cheap, but if done well, is a VERY good option to improving power. I want to re-dyno my car since finding out the last time it was tested it was only run to 6300 rpm (it revs to 7200 and has 264 cams). Even at only 6300rpm, my car made about 30-40 more whp than most similar setups on 1j cars.

What were you numbers Brad? And how much can you expect to pay for a good head port and polish

I thought of getting some 264's on my car but I havent decided yet. What kind of intercoolers are you guys running?

It spools real quick actually, its a ball bearing turbo also.. ever since i put on aem's boost silinoid on instead of a manual boost controller it made a world of difference lol.

320whp at 12psi, at approximately 130mph in 4th gear (r154 and 3.73 diff), so going off the tire I had on the car, it puts me just a bit past 6300 rpm. Not too shabby, she is an entirely different beast at 16psi. ;)

Few things out there sound better than a cammed 7m sir... as for the intercooler, stock JZA70 setup here, right down to the pipes.

What company makes the turbo? At what rpm do you see 20psi? At 30psi?

Its comp turbo with supra sports exhaust housing.. I would say 4800 to 5000 I see about 30psi.

You will definitely gain from have the head ported, cams, valve springs and retainers. Are you running stock valve springs because I know you are floating the valves at 30psi if you are.

On stock head, cams, and valves with no port work at all. Just valve springs and retainers I made 600WHP and 560tq At 28 PSI on a T3 adapted stock cast manifold with a 67mm.

I have a 62mm p-trim turbonetics bolt on with suprasport exhaust housing (.81 ar). It was 260rwhp at 7psi, 380rwhp at 15psi, 408 at 17psi, 420 at 19psi. She's running out of breath. Almost same setup as you minus the meth injection and I have a built a340e. This is why I'm strongly considering going T3/T4 and a different turbo.

Great numbers for you though on a 64mm
