previous mods tanabe 3" downpipe, ported elboe and 4" exhaust
current mods 3" cooleze elbnow downpipe combo, stock exhaust.
enginedeveloped bad smoking and turbo switched out. Smoking the same after turbo swap smoking like a cropduster.
swapped out engine for a jdm engine car ran really nice, but blew hg. still seom smoke but not as much as b4, i figured oil trapped in cat snd exhasut needed to burn out.
So now with jdm motor, cometic heagasket, arps torqued to 90 llbs. sotck ct 26, with the minor mods listed above, stock plugs, stock timing car smokes a little with freshly installed donwpipe and stock exhaust. Head milled to mirror smooth finish. car cranks up but runs rough. and barley idles.
anyone here has suggsetions? I'm going to do a compression check today to make sure that the hg isnt compromised in any way. but with oe timingand all else left alone snce engien swap, what could be causing this?
