Does anyone know what the differences are between the early and late model blocks? and how to tell them apart?

yeah http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61711. This will help you out. The block actually changes in 90. The crank changes over in late 89 models. The 90 block has more reinforcemnt all around.

Wow orginally there was pics. If you are looking at the two blocks a 90+ block has alot more ridges on the sides. There are like 3 ridges on a newer block to every1 on an older. I have the block in the trunk of my car. I'll post a pic tommorow.

The late model 7Ms have thicker/stronger main webbing, thicker pain rails, extra ribs.

I think Ian measured like 6-8lbs of extra meat in the block?

Ive got an early 89 with a 6m crank that has the reinforcement ribs, so the block changed in the 89 cars.
