Here's a vid of my friends Mk3 Supra that participated on the Speedparty 2007 event in Finland. It's similar as the Texas mile you guys have, but the straight is 1.1 mile with a standing start.
This Supra came third in the event. Here are the results: (in kph)

Mods on the Supra:
Built engine
Ported head, custom ground cams
Front facing intake manifold, stock tb.
Custom exhaust manifold and wastegates
Holset HX50, 65/72 wheels
4" dp, 3.5" cat back
Standalone
1.5bar at 93 octane pump fuel, no water or meth injection.
All the welding and custom work has been done by my friend. It dynoed around 600whp@1.6-1.7bar on 93 octane pump fuel.
The engine spit a valve shim on one cylinder the 2nd to 3rd gear change on the run, so he had low compression most of the run on one cylinder.
