75/80 Dragway Re-Opening

Hi all, I just got word that the 75/80 Dragway in Monrovia, is due for re-opening April 9th, its been closed since 2005, in the pics it looks run down, but I think they are cleaning it up. Its a 1/8th mile track, I'm not a big fan of the 1/8th mile but its still a fun time. I hope to be there the 9th or 10th, and I hope some others in the area will go as well. See you all there!

From what I could gather it was sold to a guy who wanted to build about 1600 new homes. The people of the area signed a petition to stop the destruction of the drag way. Now it is set to re-open in April, I have read the 3rd and I have also read the 9th, either could be possible, anyway I will try to be there on the 9th or 10th.

The track originally opened in 1960, and had continuous use until the last race day on October 30, 2005.
