Thanks, I just found out today that the turbo was actually a 60 trim. I had pulled it off to go to a 67MM and had a friend measure it. I am surprised i made what i did on a 60 trim.

Love the setup. I'm looking to make about the same numbers once I finish my build, but looks like I have a ways to go lol. I would like to find out how you keep your torque numbers even or higher than your hp numbers. I've never understood that, although I'm still a noobie

Im not quite sure to be honest, but i think it has to due with the fact that i am on a stock exhaust manifold with a home made adapter, and stock intake manifold.

youve had much better results than me, Im running a 60-1 t4 with .70 hotside, BC 272 cams, Haltech ps 1000 ecu, and I was only able to hit 400rwhp, 340tq at 18psi, I am dissapointed in my torque, the car is miserable to drive below 4k, but it hauls ass from 4 to 7.5k rpms, Im going with a different setup soon to see if i have better results, getting rid of the 272 cams and going back to stock, and ditching my short runner ffim and going back to my long runner ffim, hopefull this well get me some numbers especially the tq numbers like you are making

You should try just changing the cams to 264s first. That might make all the difference in the world, you think?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think long runner intake maifolds maintain higher torque numbers.

I thought you make most torque with the stock intake manifold but more horsepower with the long runner? I'm still a noob but I'm slowly learning so maybe I'm wrong

BTW love the build gurley0916. I just read your whole build thread

Well compared to the short runners that are on the car and then comparing it to a the long runners of the stock that is probably what is giving the torque difference.

Thanks for the compliment

My horsepower number was 400 at 18psi. I made 478 at 21-23 pounds of boost. although i think my torque remained higher no matter how much boost i was running. My C.R is 7.5:1 so i can run those numbers on pump gas. It was 115degrees outside when i made these numbers and that was like the 20th pull. lol i can only wonder if it was heat-soaked. I have a friend making close to 800 on a stock intake manifold. When you get a ffim that is made by some guy that can weld it might not have any other properties for making power other then looking good. lol

will the size of injectors play a role in the amount of horsepower you make? Example: You run 680cc's right now. Would you make the same amount of power using 550s at the same levels?

yeah it seems like 400 whp at 18psi is the what i have been seeing everyone put down with the 60-1, im gonna ditch the 272s and the short runner for sure soon as i get my rock crawler finished and out of the garage, basically if i can get that low end torque back that would be great, if all else fails, im gonna go back to the stock intake manifold and see how things go from there, i will admit though and ffim cleans things up and makes working on the car a walk in the park

I did very much, he went at it very slow and never pushed through any rough spots on a pull. Some tunners will push through a flat spot on the tune and make changes after the pull. however my bumper did catch on fire..lol
