Hoping someone that has performed this swap can tell me if I have the correct parts, or where I am going wrong-

I have a 92 supra to swap the 2jzgte - vvti into
BIC 89+ brackets
What I think are MK4 engine mounts

I did search and have verified the correct mounting location for the brackets.

Problem is on the exhaust20140914_113510[1].jpg20140914_113543[1].jpg20140914_113722[1].jpg20140914_113752[1].jpg side ( see pics)
The BIC mount hits on the turbo support arm
The engine mount hits on the stud that holds the support arm in place
the turbo lines do not line up at all

Do I have the correct engine mounts?
Do I need to grind down the support arm to make clearance?
Oil hoses? Do I have the correct piece on the oil pan? the turbo lines?

Befor I start hacking things up, want to make sure.
I did search, and did not find others that had these problems, or good pictures to reference

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am stuck

Thanks
Steve

Sure the mounts are on the correct side?

Did you have a front sump and switch to a rear sump? If yes the turbo drain that mounts to the pan is different.

Thanks hvyman

Will recheck the mounts, 99.9% sure - worth a triple check
It was a front sump engine, replaced the oil pan. The drain came with the pan, are there different drains?
Thanks
Steve

There's 2 different spots they can be bolted on the block iirc and make sure you have the each one on the correct side.

More searching tells me the US part number needed is:
15474-88401

Ok, so the brackets and mounts
Is there a way to tell the 89+ from the earlier version? I have 2 sets of brackets because I thought the fisrst set I bought were pre 89 - now looking closely at the two sets they look to be very close in size and length

I can post pics of the brackets if that would help

Thanks
Steve

Thanks again Hvyman and f00g00 -
I did check and recheck the mounting locations - I do have them in the correct mounting holes
I believe that I have two sets of pre 89 mounts - one that is BIC, the other is a knock off

From the other forum, it appears I have 89+ round motor mounts.

So, off to find correct brackets - this time I think I will just go to DM and buy new - 2 sets of pre 89 :-(

Thanks for all the assistance, please keep it coming!

Steve

Since your car is a 92 you will need the 89+ mounts. It has to do with the crossmember.
