2JZ with twins in a 92 supra ?

My question is will it fit without "altering" the firewall.

I have searched and read, the info is a bit conflicting. Most say that you must alter the firewall, yet I have seen and read of 2 cars where this has fit without modification.

Is it possible that different year cars will make a differance, I am asking about a 92-

how much is this off by if it doesn't fit? can the motor mounts be altered to move the engine forward by 1" to make this fit?


Please dont answer if your just guessing.

Tissimo had to knock his in slightly. its not a big deal. once the engine is in you can't even tell where you tapped the firewall

Bolt in for a RHD Mk3 as we don't have the bulge fore the AirCon on that side.

i believe it was an inch and a half???? im not too sure, but i think he has said something about he should've went a little further....

From what I've read, 3-5 small love taps with a rubber mallet should get it to where you need it be.

i didn't bang it in much... I should of went a little further.. with wheel hop my engine was moving around some and scratched the paint, so it was a bit too close.. but with hardly any massaging it fits..

heres the pics of what I did to make em fit
