My friend has had quite the journey with his S14 240 (one that originally started off as a "play" car, running the 2J on stock twins and straight pipe)...
But over the last 4 years... It's went from 500HP to 650HP to 800HP to 900HP and now................... we await the next couple days to find out what the final numbers will be.

I won't go in detail but here's a teaser video of his car at Sound Performance last night.
Made 1,049RWHP off the wastegate, only revving to 8500RPM. Final numbers will wrap out to 10,000ish RPM.

Cliff notes: ProMod 94mm, 3.4L stroker motor (10:1 high comp) and more fuel than your entire neighborhoods' cars combined. :biglaugh:

I'll post some updated videos within the next week.

I remember at one of the last Chi2k meets, ('09 I think?) It put down in the 600 range. Just saw him about a year ago probably up in Lake Villa when he was picking up Chris Brander's Q45 rear end haha. It's crazy to see that it's over the 1000 mark!

Jeff, I checked out the mods on the SF link, just wondering... is he looking for further headroom on that turbo? Seems a bit... big... still, that thing sounds rather mean, looking forward to seeing how this plays out. :)

Just a thought, but does anyone else find it strange to see a $20,000 engine setup in a $4000 car? I applaud the guy for sticking with the platform, despite his obvious ability to afford "better" cars. :)

LOL Brad I'm sure you're not the only one to think that.

Contrary to what many (including myself previously) would think, the 97-98 S14 240SX's are actually really quality/well built cars; and there weren't many of them.

The owner of this 240 also has a 97 Skyline GTR-R33 that was in the process of being built my SP (for like the last 5 years now...literally; long story),
But he's a die hard Nissan fan that decided to pick up a cheap JDM 2J to throw into his 240SX............ then it just kept getting more and more ridiculous.
Hope that explains his reasons for using this chassis. :)

Believe me though, when he threw in a BPU 2J 4+ years ago... it wasn't intended to become a 1,500RWHP monster... it just happened.
After the cage, fender rolling, chassis upgrades, etc... I'm sure you can understand why he's kept this car. It's a very clean car, regardless.

Now for the fun stuff.... ;)

Last time I rode in this car it was making around 700hp and it was stupid fast. Now its going to be over doubling that power... absolutely insane! Can't wait!!!! I remember when He was trying to get the stock 2jz to pop on the dyno so he could do the stroker build, but that motor just kept taking more and more power and more abuse.

I had a bit of experience in a 95 S14, it was a nice car too. The few 97/98 cars I've seen up close seem really nice too, and if I were to ever buy a 240, that would be the one, unless for some reason an S15 was a realistic proposition. Certainly rare, you make a good point there.

I can definitely understand sticking with a platform. Given better planning and a bit more dedication to saving a bit of money, I could have bought a Mk4 for what I've put into the Mk3, and been just as far along in most respects. Sometimes it is just love with a particular chassis. :)

Wow, gorgeous Kouki. They are very rare! I have many 240's and I would sell everyone of mine just for that chassis!
::edit:: the 2J is awesome as well!
