OK, so there is for sure a boost leak at the 90mm throttle body. It's coming from the shaft that goes through the unit that moves the butterfly flap. It feels like its coming out of both sides of the TB. So, I need to find out why its doing this. This was one of the Drift Motion 90MM TBs. It was brand new. I guess the seals are not good.

Thanks for the kind words Will!!! Thanks for the video help too!

I'm glad we video taped it also because I can here the turbo flutter. It's better then what it was but still not gone. Hopefully its not bad enough to damage my turbo.

Yeah, I'm wondering how to get rid of it completely. I'm going to try and get a better vac source to my HKS SSQV (knockoff). I shortened the vac line last time and loosened the tension on the SSQV and a lot of the flutter went away. It was about 6 big flutters and now its down to about 1.5 to 2. How bad is your flutter?

It was pretty bad, multiple flutters especially when I let of at partial throttle. I was using a Type s BOV located behind the front bumper near my IC with a really long vac line, live and learn :) I picked up an SSQ and am going to have the flange welded on my IC piping up near the TB.

UPDATE

I have a full 3" exhaust now!! It sounds pretty good. Ended up having a freind help me finish it since he has welding skills and a lift. It was such an improvement in flow that I was overboosting so I had to dial back my EBC settings. I'm thinking that's a good thing. OH, and the turbo kicks in quicker now. :evil2:

I'm still working on my boost leaks. I know for sure that I have a leak in the throttle body so I'm waiting on a new one of those. Thanks for the help Aaron!!! I checked all of my vacuum lines that go out from the manifold and they all hold pressure nicely.

The thing I don't get is that there is a leak that sounds like a whistle and I was almost for sure that it was coming from the boost gauge. But when I run a leak test on it, it holds 20psi and stays there with no whistling noise. I don't know where its coming from .

I guess 1st things 1st, fix the leak that I know is there. :sarcasm:

So, I've been trying to track down a nasty whistling noise when I boost over 10psi. It was coming from inside the car and I couldn't pinpoint it. I finally found a definite leak coming from the break booster. I can feel the air coming out of the area where the brake pedal meets the firewall.

So my question is, is there a seal that would cause this to happen, or do I need to replace the whole brake booster? I noticed the TSRM shows a seal/gasket that goes in between the firewall and the booster.

Also, as far as I can tell the leak only happens the most when the brake pedal is fully depressed. If I pump the brake pedal, the leak seems to goes away.

So, after some browsing around the forum, I found out that I need a check valve in the vacuum line going to the brake booster. :3d_frown: . Man I feel stupid. Had no idea about this. I'm going to install it tomorrow and see how much of a difference it makes.

Ok, I'm waiting on the Dyno graph and the videos, but the best we could get out of it was 403rwhp and 386 tq.... with boost spiking to 25psi.

I know it has more in it and I'm going to check for boost leaks and have some others chime in on the tune to try and figure out what I can change to get it over 500rwhp.

The thing that was not making the tuning part easier was the fact that the Dyno did not have any way of logging the AFR with the pulls. I have a UEGO and the Stinger has a WB that we were tuning with. We also were listening for knock with a set of headphones.

I'll post up as much info as I can and try to see if anybody can make sense of things and help out.

I will say that 400rwhp is pretty awesome!!!:naughty:

Thanks DOK!!! I'm happy with the numbers, but we have a similar setup and I don't understand why I'm not getting 500rwhp.:3d_frown: . There was a dip in power on the dyno and I kind of wonder if my clutch is slipping. I'll post a couple of the dyno graphs up when I get them. Here is the data from one of the pulls though. You can see the dip in power at about 5200 RPMs

Here's mine for comparison sake, maybe the 7M ECU doesn't suck as much as I thought it did :) You definitely have alot more potential than me, I'm at the upper end of what you can do with a hacked stock ECU!

I had some sort of ignition issue causing timing to be pulled towards the end, possibly due to the fact that I drove 30mins there and it was 100deg in the dyno room at 8AM :biglaugh: The E85 helps me a little but not that much.

What HG are you running? I'm on the TT HG, if you're running a thicker one you will need more boost to compensate. How'd your A/Fs look? Timing map from the Stinger may help too, I'm sure Scott can chime in on the timing stuff, he seems to be pretty good at tuning via the internet :)

3mm HG....:3d_frown:

Yeah Scott is great at tuning. I will post up my timing map in a while. I need to talk to the guy that was helping me tune. I'm pretty sure he went through the timing map and adjusted accordingly. He was using the Knock headphones to listen for knock while he tuned also.

A/F's looked good. I will have to go and make a pull in fourth gear and log them out for you to see. But from what I see on my UEGO gauge its right around 11.5 all the way through 4th.

OK, so here are my tuning maps. Also my tuning File. Anybody has any advice let me know. I took it out again today and did notice that I was way rich in a few spots. So maybe I can tune this thing out better on the street!:evil2:
