2jz gte top mounted coil pack?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at purchasing a 2jzgte but the thing is, the coils are top mounted then connected by wires....Anyone have any ideas to why it would be done like this?

Super strange. Unless they just wanted to be different somehow. Those are the stock coils tho.

maybe the harness fucked off and the made with their own setup. Its stupid, if the wires get wet, so-long well running engine.
