Hey!
I'm in the middle of 2jz-gte engine swap into my mk3 Supra.

I have the late 89 model supra and the round motor-mounts.
And going to use IBoughtASupra's engine bracket's (same as driftmotion/BIC's)
This year I'm going to keep the twin-turbo.
So the million dollar question is; do I have to beat the firewall back?
Is it so that if you have the late 89' with round motor-mounts, you DONT have to beat the firewall?

Sorry, but i tried to search about an hour or so, but couldnt find any spesific answer, only but's and if'. (specially since I'm not that good in english)

It is very important for me to know, because Im getting the engine bay painted in a few weeks! so if I have to beat it back, now i s the time to do it!. And if I do, where should I beat it?

You probably will. You might be able to talk to the bracket creator and he might be able to give you a little room. The area to beat is where the heater core bulges out, above the brake lines. Test fit the motor and you will see exactly where you need to hit, or if you even need to.

Need to with the stock twins.

If you move e motor farther forward the fan gets closer to the rad, shifter moves farther forward and the drive shaft will not fit. Not to mention your bring more weight forward on an already nose heavy car.

Engine mount location is dictated by the tranny mount in this swap. Yes you'll have to beat the firewall back a bit with the twins.

Okey, thanks everybody..
Not sure If I will keep the twins now, maybe just going a small single to begin with, to insure no fitment issues and jdm-turbo breakdown.

So in case of keeping twins, It need to be beaten about here? :
