So my little brothers car is hitting this wierd, boostcut/fuelcut feeling at around 2500-3000RPM's. He took the car out to go to school this morning, car drove fine until about 5 miles away from my house. According to him, about 2500rpm the car started to sputter then shut off..we tried starting it, but it wouldn't turn over...I switched out Ignitors from my car and it started right up..idled fine UNTIL we took it for a test drive, at 2500rpm SAME thing happened again. Could it be the map sensor? or maybe the stock fuel pump is dying? He recently bought a walbro 255, but we didn't get around to installing it yet.
