i work at an auto parts store for christ sake and am still asking this question. 22R turbo pistons are they dish or dome? i called and ordered a set for a turbo motor from a well known engine parts rebuilding place and the sent me dome pistons and the ones just pulled outta my 4runner are dish, but that motor was also TOAST when i got it. from my thinking, there is no way it would even run if it had the wrong pistons in it.

The 22R-TE uses dish pistons to drop the compression for the turbo. IIRC, turbo is 8.5:1, and N/A is 9.3:1
