I'm looking into replacing my pistons since I have a good feeling that my rings are shot. I know about the hastings 3sgte rings and the cp pistons, im wondering what else is out there so that I can weight my options.

But.
2j rings will not work on a 1jz. The hastings is an actual 1j rings set.
2jzgTE pistons will drop right in but you have to use 2j rings and it will work fine.(generally new pistons come with them). Do not get the 2jzge pistons as they are high compression pistons.

NO I do not mean 1j. The only real difference in the pistons is the ring lands. You need to use 2j rings with 2j pistons and 1j rings with 1j pistons. Just to make it clear and simple.
