Can you change out the thrust washer/bearings without pulling the crankshaft?

I am only running driftmotions 2800lb clutch which hasn't had any problems with crankwalk that I am aware of but to be on the safe side I thought it might be good to swap them out every couple of years. Especially if all I have to do is drop the pan.

Thanks

yes, you can. done it before.

dropping the pan without pulling the engine is a bitch though. i've changed the thrust washers with the engine on a stand, and the crank still in there. kinda gotta pry the crank to one side, slide the washers in and around the back side, then pry back to the other side, and slide them in. make sure you lube the crap out of them.

Yup, no need to remove the crank on the JZ engines, just need to get both oil pans off and the main cap off. You can usually rotate them out at this point.
