I went the MPI route and spent alot of money on this damn thing and simply kept having problems, no matter what i did i couldnt keep it together. I had finally given up and decided to do a swap.. I came across a great deal on a 1JZ/R154 engine and transmission.. The final goal for the car is to go with a built 2JZ but i couldnt pass this deal up.. so it begins.

I drove to georgia to pick up my 1J, long day for a round trip but it was worth it

We got the engine set in

I figured it would be best to put some new parts in there while i was at it

I also had to make a throttle cable bracket.. i used the stock one for the 1jz and modified it a little.

cool build man cant wait to see how it turns out, but you're in the wrong section. needs to be in the other cars (non supra)

My bad. Mods feel free to move this to the appropriate section. I must have over looked it. Should have this puppy done with in another week or so

they were not intercooled up to 1987, in 1987 they went to the widebody and front mount. They all had 12v heads. however you can get an 8v head from other things with the G54B, same head just no jet valves "fresh air valves"

Appreciate the comments, im ready to get this thing back on the road..

here is how the car is currently sitting.

Im limited on time now or i would do alot of things different, like go through the harness and take out everything i dont need.. and remove all of the body plugs from it... ill do that later though, and clean alot of things up.
