Well I finally have gotten around to post the pics of my old engine, I had some slight detonation to say the least, 5 out of 6 pistons looked like this, and tthe head was hammered just as bad. Also check out the headgasket, it has been blown out too. Look how cute the rods are, the are so short it looks like they should be in a Briggs & Straten engine,

looks like chino's engine. He fried #5, everything else is ok. Looks like he failed an injector

I melted 5 pistons, only #3 survived. I am not sure what happened, I think 27psi (oops) bad gas and a malfunctioning Emanage may have caused this.

24 blew up my cermaics on all sparkplugs on 94 on my 7m..

1775EGT's finally melted that engine...

Hit 1750 on the 1jz and i've hurt it abit but still has like 150 compression haha engine is tough... But will break like any other engine.

I've done 30 psi on cast(7m) many times. Your ring land looks fine, ring isn't even pinched. Looks more of a lean issue than deto.

Actually the top ring is pinched and doesnt move.

I think that was mostly due to the top of the piston being mostly gone and what was there, melted. For the second ring land to be ok and the tops to look like that is from too little fuel.

So is it that a stock 1j can't handle these boost level? Our is it that you were on pump gas at this boost level. I am looking to run my stock bottom 1j around that number on race fuel. The head will be fully built but I feel I need 27ish psi to make my 650hp number with the gt42 turbo. I really don't want to make that mistake by going that boost level if the stock bottom can't handle it. Please spread me some knowledge?
