Ok I'm doing a manual tranny swap on my 1j, I'm trying to get all the parts together and just want to be sure I have them all. Hope this is the right place for this thread, anyways these are the parts I have so far. ARP 1JZ Flywheel Bolts, R154 Clutch Fork, Clutch Release Bearing R154, Pilot Bearing, Pressure Plate Bolt Set R154, Clutch Release Hub Kit R154-Washers/Clips/Hub, master and slave cylinder, flywheel, clutch, the actual r154, bellhousing, and clutch line. It seems like I'm missing some things can y'all please help? Oh and I'm working on getting tranny mount/bracket.

a few things that i can think of that i don't see listed

front half of a 5sp drive shaft
5sp clutch pedal assy
5sp brake pedal assy
shifter assy
modification to neutral safety switch (needed if you want to start the car, with the starter)
mods for reverse lights (not necessarily "needed")

The w58, r154, and auto all use a different driveshaft.

The back half interchanges, so you only really need the front half to match your trans.

In order for you to bolt up the 7M's R-154 to the 1JZ, you need to purchase a R-154/1JZ bellhousing and a 1JZ flywheel. Then just use a 7M-GTE/R-154 driveshaft or just use the front half of it on your auto's rear shaft.

Better to go with a complete R154 driveshaft as the whole thing has a factory balance. If you put the front half from another shaft you will have to get the complete shaft rebalanced from a driveline shop.

what about the transmission support. do i need the r154 or can i use the one off the w58. i heard you can use the mk3 auto driveshaft because it has 23 splines like the r154?
