Just wondering has any one ever compared these two engines there very close incomparison.

How so? In power only maybe. Ones 3 liter one is a 2 liter. Ones turbo one is not. I see no simlaritys

Power output is about the same but the 7M should make more torque so there's no need to rev it as hard to accelerate.

Was talking to a mate the other day who had a 1G which blew, so he put in an NA 7M, and he said the 7M pulls a hell of alot harder.

My bf on the other hand, had a 1G which he modded extensively, and he was able to toy with TT MkIVs quite easily...

Well not incomparison in perfomance. Both cars should weight around the same so if they were at a strip whoever wins is gonna be by a fender.

They're both around the same power stock..

main difference is the 1G-GTE is already turbo, a few BPU mods and you're in semi-stock 7M-GTE territory...

but if you add a larger turbo, you'll probably have a lag monster...
