1990 7mgte supra restore/build

I figured i should start a build thread for my supra as me and a buddy are tearing it down to fix some body work that the previous owner rigged up and painting it bayside blue in the meantime.

This was the car when i first bought it. lowered on megan coils on xxr wheels but other than that stock for the most part



Decided to do my own exhaust. went with 3 inch stainless turbo back to a 4 inch axle back. heres a few clips:

Went with a driftmotion front mount, same side in and out, real type s BOV

Painting the bumpers, hood and targa after doing some dent repair






Some driver side body work. Quarter panel had a lot more filler in it than we expected. so we ground it all out, pulled what we could, filled with duraglass and glazed over top






Passenger side wasn't as bad but still pretty full, also filled the antenna hole

Update coming tonight. got the shell painted, now just need to paint a few of the smaller parts, trim pieces, and jambs.

After both stages of paint now just needs clear coat


Done with the clear. Looks good in bayside blue

And another out in the sun.

I'm hoping i have the only bayside blue mk3 supra around or if not at least one of not too many, paint came out good. Has some orange peel but not anything too bad where wet sanding wont get rid of it.

It's actually my buddy painting it and me just helping out. If you want i can say something to him

Just got the trim and some small parts painted, going to start assembling here this week hopefully so keep an eye out for pictures. Also might be getting the windows tinted since the interior is all torn down right now.
