What are these, and can I remove them?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but I haven't been able to figure it out. On the 7m-ge there are 2 diaphrams that don't seem to serve a necessary purpse. The first is on the intake manifold: (sorry the pics suck) It looks like it runs off a vacuum and when it opens it blocks off half...

Anybody interested in a Dyno Day? (MD area)

I'm thinking about putting together a dyno day before winter. I was over at TurboEast in Mount Airy today and they should have their dyno installed in a couple weeks. I can get a decent deal, and we can do it during the week or on saturday or sunday, whatever works best. It doesn't have to...

    Running with 1 knock sensor?

I decided to make a new thread since the other one was cluttered with my other problems. This is the only thing keepng me from installing my engine, so I'm really hoping I can get some kind of answer. Basically, I am still using my 7m-ge block, but I swapped the electronics and wiring harness...

2 Quick Questions... (ISC and K/S related)

Hey guys, I'm finishing up my build and there are a few small details that I am a little confused about: 1. The 2 visible tubes on the ISC valve run to the intake pipe pre-throttle body, correct? I no longer have my 3000 pipe and I forget how it was plumbed. Then the other tube that is kind...

    oldskool-nick's Official Build Thread

I figure that its about time I make a build thread, especially since I started this project back in November :aigo: I don't make much money and I'm still learning a lot as I'm going along, so this is a fairly modest build. Overview: Basics: I am using my 7m-ge longblock with about 5k...

    Mounting Walbro FP Externally?

This is more of a hypothetical question as I don't plan on doing this, but I am curious... Could a Walbro (255lph) fuel pump be mounted externally? It seems that it would be as easy as attaching a fuel line to where the pickup attaches, and then attaching the pickup to the other end of the...

Just beginning my project, got a couple questions...

Well I have finally started my ge->gte conversion (+a few extras) and I have a few random questions. BTW, I rebuilt the 7m-ge with all new toyota bearings, seals, rings, machined head, honed cylinders, ect. about 5k miles ago. Now my questions: 1. I have 4 gauge wire already run to my hatch...

    Remote Oil Filter Question...

I am going to be relocating my oil filter during my 7m-ge->gte turbo project and I'm planning on using the stock oil cooler. I think that I am going to go with something like this: And I made a diagram of the way I want to plumb it: Now I know that the stock oil cooler drains into the...

I can run Vin #s for yous guys

I spent the rediculous $25.00 fee to check one vin number...yeah it was pretty gay. But I did find out that my prelude had a junk title, so that was good news. :nono: Anyway, I can check vins for you if you post them in here. Its autocheck.com, not carfax, just so ya know. And I'm kinda busy...

    Made myself a gauge holder...

I needed a place to mount my boost gauge so I decided to build a gauge holder above the steering wheel. Its off-center so that I can still see the light for my high-beams and it doesn't block anything important. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. BTW, I didn't really think this...

Pics from the MDSupras meet yesterday....(56k go repair a BHG)

This was the first MDSupras.com meet so far, and we had a pretty good turnout. In total, I think there were 8 or 9 supras plus a few other cars. We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and, overall, just had a good time. There are some other pics here...

Got a package from Japan today...

Finally got my manifold from Japan today. I'm so happy, and it only took about 6 weeks to get here! I also have pics of my t04b, but I have had that for a while now. On to the pics: And of course, my JDM awesomeness, filled with Japanese newspapers. I got it on ebay...
