    Quarter panel repair advice

Started the body work, and first thing I found was a bunch of bondo covering the driver's quarter panel. Most of I think I can work out, but the lip area directly above the wheel is pushed in. There are two pieces of metal (wheelhouse connected to quarter panel) so I can get it out from the...

    No fuel - fuel pump?

This is a new GTE swap into a GE car. About 1 week ago, it started and ran fine. Since, I replaced the evaporator, mounted the ecu (disconnecting and reconnecting the harness in the process), and straightened some wiring. Now, there is no fuel pressure at the rail, and no leaks. If I...

identify this part - drivers side inner fender

Mounted on the drivers inner fender is a silver box with a round yellow connector that connects to the engine harness. What is this? The stock boost pressure sender (on turbos) is on the same mount with it. I'll snap a pic tonight if this doesn't make sense. Thanks in advance. Don

    sp61gt - rebuild or replace

Checked the shaft play on my sp61gt bolt on last night, and sure enough, lots of side to side play (didn't notice and fore to aft). Burns lots of oil, won't boost past 10psi, just started whining. I think the damage was done by my greddy type R BOV not releasing properly, but I seem to...

    87 gte into 89 ge

Hi Guys. About to purchase an 89NA to replace my totalled 87T (rear-ended). I'm swapping the engine, engine wiring harness, transmission, ecu, and other turbo specific parts. Are there any connections from the engine harness to body harness? I don't remember any. Any other gotchas...

    where to buy flywheel (stock?)

I'm planning to install the South Bend feramic full face clutch kit, and it seems it has a risk of welding to lightweight flywheels. I can't find (besides Toyota) anyone who sells stock flywheels for the R154. What is my best option here - don't want to buy a used one. Thanks, Don

replacing clutch 'n stuff - pull engine?

Hi Guys. Need to replace clutch, flywheel, and leaking rear main seal. I'm thinking it would be easier to pull the engine and trans together then just the trans. (I've pulled them out before and have all the tools) Am I crazy? I used to have a link to an engine pull check list - anyone...

    Measuring AFM output

Is there any way to measure the output of the AFM without an ocilliscope? I think my MAFT is not working correctly, but I'd like to see what is being reported to the ECU to verify. I do not have any codes, the engine will start fine, but will die within 3 - 10 seconds. Applying the...

car dies when idling or running

Car cranks fine, and will idle for 3 - 5 seconds completely normally. Then, it will start to die. Somethimes it will recover, sometimes won't. Pressing accelerator will sometimes keep it alive, but will eventually die. Feels kind of like a big intake leak, but have inspected and can't find...

    Stock oil cooler hose size

Any one know the size of the stock oil cooler hose? Mine are leaking badly, and I want to do a quick replacement so I can drive the car once in a while. I'm going to do a complete oil cooler install, tstat, braided hoses, etc when I install the new engine, but just want to replace the lines...
