This still leaves the problem of my cat. The original simply does not fit into the engine bay with out squishing it a bit. Are there any after market cats that will pass that can clear the cross member of the bay?

There are plenty of people who want to do a 2jz GTE swap! You can sell your twin turbo for a hell of a lot and get an N/A engine for like $300.00. My 2jz GE swap is almost done on my car. If only I had the money to afford a turbo engine. So seeing someone wanting to do the opposite makes me cry.
