i performed that pressure test on it this morning and found a tear in one of my couplers. so i replaced it and it fixed the problem.
Thank you so much for your help guys...you're the best. car is running like a champ now.
this sounds pretty similar to what's happening to me.
everyone is telling me it's a boost leak as well. if you wannt check out my thread here is the link...

i think you might be right on with that because my boost gauge wasn't really showing much boost. the maximum i recall it showing was about 3-4 psi.
i'm going to take all the pipes off and buy new couplers and see what happens from there.
i wonder if it might be the IC i'm using, might have a leak.
i just finished putting my car back together and i took it out for it's maiden voyage when all hell went wrong.
the car went from being bone stock to having the following installed:
-57 trim ct26
-hard IC pipes
-spearco replica IC
-BIC DDP
-cat delete and full exhaust system
-Greddy...
i'v always liked the Advans.
i say you leave them the stock color.
and 245 is the largest you can go and have it look like it belongs on there. you can push a 255 or even a 275 but it sticks out a bit. someone already mentioned it...a 245 tires sit flush with the wheel.
the flat rate for an average mechanic is what like $60/hour.
so say 2.5 hours is like $150. that's not too bad.
but parts are fairly expensive. rack and pinion is like $200, the hard line is about $95, and the resevoir is about $60.
it adds up. if you need all that stuff replaced you're...
that's what i did.
the hard line that goes from the resevoir to the rack/pinion had a leak. and instead of replacing it i just decided to live without PS. it sucks parallel parking but who cares. it gives my arms/shoulders a good workout. :biglaugh:
that's pretty cool. i like the spin feature on there. gives you an idea what the wheels/car will look like while moving.
too bad they don't have a larger selection of wheels.
i can see a lot of the styling of the MK4 in that concept. mainly the fenders, doors, and quarter panels. the roof line obviously got changed a bit but i see the resemblence.
the rear does look like an eclipse or a lincoln mark8, but the front is all Nissan NX200...
can someone help me locate the EFI Fuse.
i've been reading many thread through out the last few months and everyone talks about pulling the efi fuse but i have no clue where it is located.
someone please help.
thanks
