Everyone else started it, now I'm gonna finish it...

The only issue I had with the IM was when we were putting the engine back in. I had to take the upper plenum off because it was hitting the brake booster while it was angled in. Other than that, it fits great. The TB is a Mustang 5.0 75mm.

I just used a high heat semi-gloss black rattle can from autozone.

Got the transmission on and the engine back in the car.

Everyone else started it, now I'm gonna finish it...

Put the IM back on and started hacking apart the main engine harness. My plan is to run all the wiring needed to start and run the engine to a set of water proof connectors that end at the firewall directly behind the engine. Then the harness will continue to the AEM and fuse block under the...

Everyone else started it, now I'm gonna finish it...

Continued some more work while the weather has been nice. Picked up the transmission from Sean @ Best Transmissions. Really cool guy, really great service. I just need to finish a few more things before I drop the drivetrain back in. Here are the valve covers after a fresh coat of Ford racing...

I picked this beautiful '87 MKIII from Slow66, who bought it off a friend who bought it from some dude in New York. Along the way, more and more stuff was added to it. Now its up to me to finish it and see what she'll do. Currently, I'm working on stripping the car of all non essential...

Gave up on the supra, got this:

Great. I really don't care for how the Evo X is turning out. Your logic can be applied to the mk3 to mk4 supra, but you don't see me telling you that you would have been better off getting one.

Gave up on the supra, got this:

They create small vortices that allow more air to flow over the spoiler. Some aircraft have them to assist the control surfaces. Slow66: Sorry dude, the shell is somewhere in waterbury.

Gave up on the supra, got this:

IMO the Evo X is hideous, plus it will NOT have the 4g63, which as almost 20years of research into it as far as aftermarket, plus it will have a paddle shifter, not a true manual trans. Evo X = eclipse + mazda 6 + trainwreck The MR is the 6 speed, which I have

Gave up on the supra, got this:

For all practicality, the evo is better for me. AWD, 4 doors, room for the kid seat in the back. Plus, if it starts to fall apart in 4-5 years, I still have the warranty. I don't plan on modding the car (too much), my plans are centering on making a high powered gokart. There is a nice 87 turbo...

Gave up on the supra, got this:

The driver side frame rail was accordianed all the way to the firewall. I had 4k to fix it, but after a lot of research and thought, I decided it would be better off not to in the long run. Now, if I had 32k to spend on completely restoring a 20yr old car, then maybe I would have. I decided on a...

Gave up on the supra, got this:

2006 Evo IX MR The supra was too far gone to be repaired. The motor is going into a cressida and the interior and slavageable parts are going to another supra to breathe some new life into it. The Evo is nice and fast, but I still preferred the supra.

Daily Driver while supra is OOC....

We have a winnAr!!111!! 2004 with 31k miles, I paid a very good price. My initial impressions: Very fun car to drive. Handles extremely well, better than anything else I've owned. Not as fast as my previous vehicles, but much more refined. For what I want to do right now, its...

    She will live once again...

Since insurance is giving me $4200 for repairs, I figured I might as well start with the rebuild. In the beginning, there was this: Then thanks to a woman driver, there was this: Here's some close ups of the damage: Reference shot, the worn place on the IM is where...

    Insurance adjuster = awesome guy.

Accident wasn't my fault. Her insurance has already accepted responsibility, so my insurance will be getting their money back and my rates will not be affected. The driver side frame rail is bent: My plan is to pull the motor, which is coming along nicely, then cut out the aprons and...

    Insurance adjuster = awesome guy.

My insurance adjuster came and looked at the supra yesterday. He had to run a few numbers before he could give me a quote. He called me back today with some awesome news. Apparently, my car was valued at just over $4500. The salvage value was about $300. The totalled amount would have been about...

    Funniest training aid evAr.

It's a .pdf document describing street racing written by obviously clueless people. There used to be a video on youtube.com that showed cali police officers how to spot "illegal" modifications on cars. It was removed, though, and I can't find it hosted anywhere else. Read the .pdf file, its well...
