Not to mention, it doesn't always do it either.

    Over heating cps (potentially)

there was a dud one that the car went to the tuners with, swapped that out and it fixed it, but now this issue has arrisen, cold, the resistance is 160 ohm on all, so smack bang between 140 and 180, and I haven't got any feelers to check the gap or a scope. Was just wondering if this was an...

    Over heating cps (potentially)

Hey guys, recently got my car tuned (7mgte haltech ps200 computer) anyway, after a while of driving I pull into my driveway, and whether it be by sheer incompetence or because the cas is acting up, the car stalls and will not start again, so I plug my laptop in a try and crank it and it isn't...

Should also note than all the warning lights come on down the bottom, it is purely just the lcd display that isn't staying on.

    Ma70 instrument cluster woes

Hey guys, I've recently changed the motor in my ma70, to a built 7mgte, I also decided to do away with standard computer and engine loom, deciding to run a haltech (Australia). So basically, I ripped out the motor and the motor loom, leaving whatever wasn't attached physically to the motor in...

Things that make you go MMMMMM (drift orientated 7m powered ma70)

Couple of updates, clutch arrived. Put the motor in, test fitted my exhaust manifold, fouled on the exhuast studs, so I took them out, could bolt the manifold onto the head.. Waste gate runner is all wrong.. Shit.. Pondered my options, bolted my rr intake manifold on, Didn't realise they...

Things that make you go MMMMMM (drift orientated 7m powered ma70)

Doesn't hit the sway bar (Probably due to running 6 degrees neg camber which i've attributed to the upper arm pick up and the lca ball joint pick up being different lengths to standard, not to mention me moving the balljoint 15mm~ out) the wheel does hit the upper arm on full lock under load...

I'm pretty sure it was a viscious that I welded, not a torsen.. It's developed a little bit of a whine since installing the solid cradle risers, but that's the least of my worries haha

The weldie works well, so until that explodes, I probably won't bother with anything else... I mean, I could probably get a full spool or a mini spool to suit a hilux If I wanted.. Or if a 2-way comes up relatively cheap.. Don't like the idea of an lsd, too unpredictable.

Uhh, he crashed his a70 about 16 months ago, then let it gather dust, bought a ga70 shell to use, that gathered dust, did some stuff to his ra65, bought an uzs171 and an s14 haha

I used the supra lcas, the soarer ones were much shorter giving positive camber and didn't quite fit right into the cross member, I think the caster might be a result of the knuckle itself as opposed to the lca

It's got standard rev limiter at the moment, so being 2nd gen 6250, in 3rd gear flat it was only hitting about 5500 or so? New motor will rev to 7500 or there abouts, depending on where power falls off.

Well, realisticly while drifting you're at the top of the rev most of the time so lag isn't really an issue, if it does present itself, just kick the clutch a couple of time and she'll come good. But obviously with a v8 or something, with a lot of torque, you've got a lot more usable rev range...

Comparing like a 6mge to a 7mgte... Yes, but like an ls1 or something, yes haha, Power makes things easier, that's probably the best way to put it, there's 100% more skill involved when you're driving an underpowered car.
