If the turbo was able to make it to 20psi, I have my doubts that it's the QSV. EGT would likely register abnormally high if the QSV wasn't working properly.
I'd be looking into boost leaks (couplers, BOV, etc.).
I can't remember from my swap (went Megasquirt from the start), but the fuel pump wiring is separate from the ECU, correct? If so, double-check if the ignition +12V is getting to the ECU (essentially tells it to "turn everything on").

It's really not that hard to find out the part numbers of the rotors and caliper. :) It's the mounting bracket that would the difficult part to acquire!
You can find the 5.3L Alum in the 1500 series trucks (2005-2007 1500 4WD). Engine code is: L33.
Only 25% of them came with this engine, but it'd be a great find!
