"Don't stop believing, hold on to that feeling"
Nice car and a very supportive wife you have. I could only imagine the isolation feeling in a new place.
If you're in the L.A. area, there's a Little Tokyo nearby the Chinatown here. Maybe let her sit in the driver seat of your RHD...feels...
Hi.
I'm looking into buying an external transmission cooler for my A340E.
But I'm not sure what size (inner diameter) the two rubber hoses are that runs from the transmission to the cooler.
3/8 inch? 1/2 inch? 5/8 inch?
Also, some of the trans cooler kit I've seen describe their...
Hi,
I was wondering if there was a write-up on how to adapt the heater control valve made for a Corolla/Prism to work on a 90 Supra.
I got a quote of almost $200 from the dealer for a Supra heater control valve.
Someone on a different forum said that this one would work:
Four Seasons...
I looked under the front passenger seat today to confirm that I don't have an external amplifying unit under the seat.
I didn't see any rectangular silver box or any wires, so I guess that means my Supra has internal amplifying.
There was a hollow rectangular black flexible thing that was...
Cool, thanks.
It looks like I have an internal amplifying since: it had originally came with a factory tape deck and I don't recall seeing any silver rectangular box under the front passenger seat when I removed the seat a few years ago. Will double check tomorrow.
Looks like the 16814 is...
So it turns out the creaking noise were from the front exhaust pipe rubbing against the front sub-frame of the car when there should be around a quarter inch gap between the front exhaust pipe and the front subframe. I had the car on the lift and with some help from other people, used a prybar...
Old thread, but turns out the creaking noise were from the front exhaust pipe rubbing against the front sub-frame of the car when there should be around a quarter inch gap. I had the car on the lift and with some help from other people, used a prybar to wedge the exhaust pipe and pry it from the...
How can I tell if my car has an External Amplifying or Internal Amplifying? I have a 1990 Supra NA Auto that was manufactured in Sept. of '89. Do I take out the front passenger seat and it's sitting there? Sorry, I'm kind of new to the whole audio system thing. The most I've done is replaced the...
Thanks for the input everyone.
hvyman, I really appreciate the very organized response.
I have a used ignition coil/igniter unit that might resolve the Code 14.
How would I clean the ISC?
I'd be jumping with joy if I could find a S14 for $1200. I don't even mind the rims; I like them (we're all different).
Any reason why it won't pass smog? Needs a new EGR valve or Converter?
I had the ball joints inspected when the car on the lift and the people inspecting the car said it was okay.
I've had the lower right ball joint replaced a few years back (it had leaked and was popping), but the left lower ball joints and the front upper control arms hasn't been replaced by me...
My car use to make a few clicking noise when I turned the car off. From what I understand, it's suppose to do this because of the Idle Speed Control Valve.

I've been getting a few codes recently (12, 14, 71) and my...
I've been looking to resolve this issue for about a year now because it would happen occasionally.
I've installed the turn stop bolt caps last year trying to resolve my front suspension creaking noise issue. It would occur when I was making left turns. That didn't resolve the noise issue...
I suppose I will order a new cable. You make logical sense; I might as well buy a new one since getting a used one may not last that long.
You paid $80 for yours? Is that including tax? If that's the case, I need to shop around a little more.
There's a local junkyard where people pay an admission fee and pull the parts themselves.
I'd prefer one where they pull the part themselves when it comes to things like the line pressure cable I need.
I had been browsing eBay also, but it seems there are no line pressure cable for sale.
No, I went to one locally in So Cal.
I was thinking about going to a junkyard, but I was wondering how I would drain the transmission fluid without a container.
I will look into Champion to see if the price is cheaper. Thanks.
Thank you for the super fast response.
Just to clarify, is that a yes as in:
1) yes, the line pressure cable can be removed with automatic transmission in car
2) yes, the line pressure cable can be unhooked without removing the valve body
