Brand new ngk wires and platinum plugs. Less than 25 miles on them.

Nope, dont know if thats a service at the shop i took it to. How would that affect it? I know what a hardness test is and why its done, im just wondering if theres a direct connection between it and the erosion

That happened to me! Once I finally decided to take out the plug behind cylinder #6, I noticed that it was loose and the gasket sealant that the PO had put on it was almost gone. Took it out, wrapped it in new sealant, hasn't leaked yet.
