thanks a ton @f00g00 and @hvyman for all your input. you guys brought another 1jz MK3 Supra to life. im glad to announce the car is up and running and everything is working fine. it idles smooth and revs as it should. now to enjoy my car
your the man  you called it. blown fuse. ive looked in so many places the obvious things escape me :icon_razz the car is now all wired up properly and ecu turns on right. the car now show signs of life. it sputters and you can hear 1 or 2 cylinders firing :icon_bigg after i switch the...
hi forum,
im located in Rhode Island. currently have my 1jz wired in to a JZA70 ecu but the car does not start. ive narrowed down the issue to potentially be the ECU. i was wondering if there was anyone in the New England Area that would be kind enough to help me test my ecu by plugging in my...
ok, so i tested the coil pack connectors. i get 12v on the black wire on all connectors but the wires that feed from the igniter (the yellow stripped wires) had no power. i tested the igniter connector for the ignition wires that come from the ecu and those had no power as well, which explains...
i hooked up the b1 pin 16 balck/orange wire to the grey wire but the black orange wire has no power and the ecu doesnt turn on like it did when i connected the grey wire straight to a switched ignition source. in short, those 2 wire dont go together and pin 16 on the b1 yellow plug does seem to...
ok so i jumped the gray wire to a switched ignition source. the ecu now has power and i can hear the click sound of what i believe is the efi / main relay. the car doesnt turn on still, it just cranks.
this may be a dumb obvious question however previously ive been able to turn on an engine...
so this is a wire i left and didnt connect to anything. on the diagrams it says pin 9 from the h1 (b1) square gray plug goes into pin 16 of the b1 yellow plug . but both diagrams say this is the check engine light. is this also the igsw?
the diagram listed pin 14 on the jza70 harness as the...
Hi guys.
a little background.
originally i had the car and engine setup with a 2jz harness / 2jz ecu i got from a member car ran fine without issues. i sent the engine to get rebuilt with a 2jz bottom end. the mechanic who did the rebuild suggested i send my harness to dr tweak because some...
Thats what i figured could happen but i believe i tested it and it was good. Ill double check. I even did a continuity test from the tps plug to the ecu plug to make sure the wires ended where they were supposed to. Ill do it again as i think i may have confused the 2 middle wires
Any suggestions on what the voltage output should be on the plug? I bought a new multimeter to test it but i dont know what the right outputs are to know if a wire is backwards
Ill look but i dont have cruise control and i dont believe the harnes tweak made for me has the cruise control.... i feel the wires on the tps plug are switched but i cant find any frame of reference for me to compare. I know how to test the tps and i have tested 2 of them and i still get the...
Hey guys ive searched the web quite a bit and cant seem to find the right search words to find my issue and thus am here.
Background:
Car had a 1jz with 2jz jdm aristo ecu and harness to match and was lightly tuned on an apexi neo. The car worked fine until it showed signs of a BHG. Deided...
Thanks for the input, thats what i though that the signal wire was receiving voltage and thus spiking but that was not the case. Ive been at this project for 2 years and ive forgotten some of the small details of the swap. The reason it happened is because the boost pressure sensor was not...
So i got a boost problem. As soon as i turn on the ignition, the dash boost gauge needle shoots up and when i press the gas i get fuel cut (or something similar to it), it goes to stall and then it picks up again (sometimes it dies). I unpluged the hose to the sensor and the needles still up. I...
Thats what i meant. My instruments stay on like the radio and all the dash lights and then completely turn off like 30 secs after the key is out. Also fyi my engine is disconected so when i say on im talking about the electronics on the car
Seeing that i have a similar problem, im curious to see if your does the same thing mines does as well. After i turn the key to on and then off and pull the key out, the car will lose all power after about 30 secs. Does this happen to you as well?
