Check out this sweet bondo shell

Thanks Playa Plaaya! Yeah I got a new account on something can you see it now? I just have to get school back in order and find my new routine before I can convert this thread and start a swap thread to clean up as much as I can. I'll toss some highlights in the meantime. Top was in 2010...

Check out this sweet bondo shell

Hey hey! How are all the people doing these days? Been a minute, but of course the calendar never agrees. Noticed the thread has not been updated in time, I will be doing so hopefully in weeks time! I will also convert my thread from photobucket to another site for images to work again. For...

Gradual Hesitation From Cold to Hot

Found the answer two weeks ago. It was a split spark plug. After installing new plugs before the engine was installed I never thought to check. But each plug was also out of gap range, between .028 - .045+. Car runs great!

Gradual Hesitation From Cold to Hot

I've solved the last bug. The major problem was a spark plug that was split pretty much down the middle. Other plugs had loose hats and gaps ranging from .028 - .045. Connecting a Mustang threaded o2 sensor where I was wishing to install my wideband made a huge difference, then changed what...

Gradual Hesitation From Cold to Hot

code 52 was also found after doing a oil change earlier this week. Was a ripped wire from rear knock sensor which was repaired today. I also made a extension from the existing o2 sensor harness to my rear chinaman Y-pipe runner and converted a threaded mustang o2 we had around the house with no...

    Turn signals buzzing

Perfect! Thanks for pulling this out! I tried but couldn't find the first link.

    Turn signals buzzing

I'm stumped. Replaced the relay flasher with a random used one and its still doing its buzzness. Can somebody help me determine the function of the combo switch with a battery and volt meter? I can't find any diagrams for those two plugs.

Gradual Hesitation From Cold to Hot

code 21 only, because o2 is not hooked up. I am working on converting my mustang 4 wire threaded o2 to replace factory o2.

Gradual Hesitation From Cold to Hot

Start up is clean, just until the coolent meter starts to take liftoff, and the hesitation progresses from random spirts to very often, impossible to build boost. After the swap I did manage to have 4-5 good runs, until hesitation started to progress and went through 2 MAP sensors & 3 sets of...

    Turn signals buzzing

I have two combo switches in hand, one from a 1990 and another that is original to my 1986.5 car and both make my flasher relay buzz when I use the turn stalk, yet this relay works fine for flashers. I've replaced the combo switch and the flasher relay with used ones, so is there a wright up...

Who made 1jz twin exhaust mani

That is true but what bothers me the most about only freeing the exhaust side of things is that the intake is still restrictive. Freeing both the exhaust and intake side would make a real difference, especially when it has been proven on the ceramic blades and not the larger (.25" x 2) GT28...

Who made 1jz twin exhaust mani

You raise a very good point, as it would disruption to everything else if the twins were to be displaced. I've looked under there before and there isn't much space between the head and twins at all. The middle runners would have to run down and back up again, but would still require a reasonable...

Who made 1jz twin exhaust mani

Thanks Beal. To go along Beal's "making horsepower without even tuning it" point, while running the the Ceramic CT12A; - Switching the Y-pipe to a Chinaman Y-pipe is arguably a gain at factory boost levels, let alone what it may achieve at higher boost levels. But what is even better than...

Who made 1jz twin exhaust mani

Nice Beal! Good to hear that there is a twin in Canada, who happens to be the same age as me too haha. I've seen you on SF today. I have the same chinaman y-pipe as you have in picture. I've notice that the piping inside has a lot of overhangs that needs work for a smooth flow. But Kurt's dump...

Who made 1jz twin exhaust mani

Bumping this in 2015. I am curious to know if anybody has housed the stock twins with aftermarket headers, hopefully with equal-length runners, because I have a set of Albert's twins and I'm trying to justify how restrictive the cast iron exhaust manifolds are. Because of the capability of the...

Check out this sweet bondo shell

Thanks! I like your My brother who owns the hoist says the same thing about being too impatient to take pictures, but he deeply regrets it because he can barely remember dates as to when he did certain things. He only started documenting his swap when he did the Supercharged K24, now he is...

    jza70 R edition

Nice car! Those twins are pretty fun at stock boost IMO. Ever get the chance to look inside that chinaman Y pipe while it was out? The tubing tends to be positioned to overhang inside, creating a lot of drag against the velocity of the hot gasses inside. I wish I had time to just use a air demal...

Check out this sweet bondo shell

Yep! It was set at 14psi and it was a well built car before my buddy sold it. They're pretty neat up close. You would need to keep the MA70 seatbelt buckles from your factory seats and replace your Celica buckles with them. The factory Celica rails where used. 3 out of 4 Celica paws are...

So at some point this summer, I've noticed that my brake lights where all stuck on and they will not turn off, even with the key removed from the ignition. Does anybody know why this is?
