I'm doing my best. The car had barely any gas in it, no plates, texas salvage title, and would not stay running on it's own. Unless they flatbedded it, I can't see how they could have gotten far.
Hi people. I had a car stolen from my shop Friday night 9/21/12 Saturday morning between the hours of 1 am and 4 am. Located an hour north of Philadelphia. Maroon 92 SC300. Stock SC wheels, stock suspension. Big grey primer spot on the driver side quarter. GTE engine, stock twins, stock exhaust...
Update. BBS LM MKIV Supra fitment. Faces were gold, powdercoated Bengal Silver by www.boneheadperformance.com/ Once the bolts are back from powdercoating as well, they can be reassembled and lips refinished.
Brandon,
I'd highly suggest staying away from Megan Racing. The quality has a lot to be desired. I'd go with Bilstein or Koni for shocks, and either Ground control with custom rates or just Eibach Prokits. Let me know if you want me to get you any of this stuff.
Fast forward 6 months later.
I built a fully stainless dual 3" exhaust system using Vibrant 1127 mufflers and merge collector:
I still have yet to weld the tips on. Sounds stock at idle and no drone. Nice mellow tone.
I decided to paint the car right here in the shop. I used over...
The car cranked and started on the first try. Got the thing running to move around the shop. Intercooler has been mounted and bodywork has begun.
Mockup of hot side piping
Tigged and done
Temporary mounting.
Test fit of front bumper. Intercooler does not hang...
Found some more time to work on the car.
About to head in to shop to pull engine.
On the lift.
Everything removed and ready to come out.
And we're out.
Back outside for a wash.
Dirty bay.
Clean bay.
Back inside.
GE next to GTE...
I have a friend who has 8 years of work experience wrapping them, so I paid him to do the job. Rears were done last weekend, today he should be finishing up the fronts. I'll post pics when they are all done.
I got the new leather from leatherseats.com They were blowing out some of the tan interior SC300 kits on ebay for $0.99 starting bid and no reserve. I got a set for $335. They sell on their website for $699. I just waited it out.
Brandon, I can't either. I'll hopefully have it out within the next few weeks.
Yes! I totally agree. The car looks much more like a more "modern" car with the 97+ parts. 92-6 just looks too old and bland.
Thought about it, but to do it right costs money. I spent $250 on turbos that will get me 400 ft lbs. A PROPER single setup would cost me around 2 grand using QUALITY parts.
I purchased this 92 5 spd. SC300 about a year and half ago. I've been slowly stockpiling parts for it and recently got started. Here are some progress pics:
Car as purchased with 143k on it.
1995 Aristo front clip. Almost looks to good to remove.
Rear sump setup purchased...
Thanks, you guys are life savers!

Actually, I'm referring to the turbo oil feed from the block, not the banjo that goes into the oil filter housing. The turbo oil feed is a large 19mm? Sorry for the mixup.
It seems as though I've mixed these two up. The shorter banjo bolt is a 17mm head. The longer banjo is a 19mm head. Does the smaller 17mm bolt thread to the block for the turbo oil feed and 19mm goes in pan for oil cooler? Or vice versa? Thanks.
