Jet Jock, on an unrelated matter, do you post on Supraforums under the name DeGree? Your particular brand of smug useless posting reminds me of the type of trolling degree pulls.
OH... Oh dear... i mis read the "How to cure the 7M oiling issues thread. I will remedy this next time I drop my pan. Will do next oil pan.
LOL Well I Live in timmins now and we get a solid week of minus 30 here LOL. My Inuit GF Is from a town where they hit -50C!
So would 0W20 be too thin...
Ok, so maybe this is a stupid question, but is it possible to have an oil pressure that is Too High?
I shimmed my Oil Pump and make about 12-14psi at idle and above 75-80 when reving above 3500 RPM.
I know this because I have blown 3 mechanical Oil Press gauges.
The only reason I bring...
Update!
It Runs!
It was stuck in limp mode for a while due to an AFM issue but now she runs and wheels!
Here is the 3" exhaust with the Dump Tube.
Heat Wrapped
Removable Rear Mud Flaps
Minimal Front Mud Flaps
The Latest addition, the one I have really been waiting...
yes, I understand this. That is why I was asking if anyone knows what the stock oil pressure sensor fitting is as I assume that is where I am to measure as per the TSRM.
Hello!
I have installed a Mechanical Oil Pressure Gauge on the line coming from my sandwich plate to my remote oil filter.
It doesnt quite jive with the stock Toyota Pickup gauge (7MGTE is in a 1990 Pickup) and the aftermarket gauge goes over 80PSI (gauge max) when I rev past 3800rpm...

Lol, True, took me a little while to figure out how to pull the codes when there is no dash cel hooked up on my truck.
Plus i could only work on it on the weekend because I work out of town.
Figured it out. Wiring to the ECU was fine as well as wiring to ECU GND but the wire to the IM ground was ringing in at >1ohm. I ran new wire and voila!
So Problem solved thanks SM!
And Jet Jock, your are less then useful. Your behavior is disappointing even by SF standards. If you spent more...
AC Is deleted, couldn't that also cause 51? Also I am not running a NSW.
Wiring comes through as less then 1 ohm between sensor and ecu.
I am on my third afm sensor.
I do not have access to a Ocilliscope off hand to measure frequency.
Yeah bad afm, except wiring is fine and I am on my third afm.
