After my swap jzx90 into a mx73 I have come to realize that i am running without a fuel filter... So im wondering where would be a good place to splice a z32 fuel filter into the 1jz fuel system. Anyone got any good ideas?
I recently swapped a 1j into my x7 and it constantly began to run hot.. after a week or so i realized the lower hose would constantly stay cold and it was clear that coolant wasn't circulating. I just put in a new water pump so i know that's not the suspect and the radiator is new as well...
Well... recently i have come to notice that my car intermittently has trouble holding/building boost. best case while i am driving i will rarely see over 5-6psi in first then it usually holds around 10 in every other gear wot. but other times i will see 5-6 psi in every gear and if it does hit...
I just finished my jzx73 swap and took the car for its first drive,. Everything was fine up untill i let off the gas and heard a horrible grinding noise and banging that actually brought the car to a stop. It does it worse in neutral than when its in gear... what could this be? Bad pilot bearing?
Whenever i go to start the engine it cranks and starts fine, but then dies as if its not getting enough fuel. It will only stay running if i keep giving it a decent amount of throttle (almost 1/4 throttle). after the engine heats up it seems to be ok... this also happens intermittently...
I just bought a water temp gauge and was wondering where the best spot was to hook it up. Could i just pull out the stock sender and replace it? (Green plug) or is there another spot that would be better to do it from? jzx90 1j

I started up the engine today and it ran smoothly for a few seconds then began to knock and cut out.. I am currently running a stock MX73 fuel pump could this be the reason? I figured it would be strong enough to supply the engine at idle.
Obviously in my swap the hoses are nowhere near being in the right location... just wondering what you guys have done. Any recommendations on hose types?

Im doing a 1j swap into my x7 and when i was test fitting the engine as the tranny pointed down on an angle all the fluid leaked out of the driveshaft hole.. does this mean i have a bad seal?? or is this normal?
Ive searched, i have all the diagrams, pinouts and information i think i need.. but i have no idea about the actual process involved in splicing the wires and harnesses... if somebody could point me in the right direction or give me some sort of babytalk explanation it would be greatly...
