Hey i took my motor to this place called Heads by drew out near the airport off airport blvd/6th. He does great wor,k has a lot of race experience also. He got my head dialed in and decked my block for me too. He has done a lot of 7ms so he knows what hes doing.
Actually you can convert them to use d2s and its pretty good output. You can even tune it even more by redoing the shields inside.

Mine only stuck out only a couple mm. I used the prosport premium guages so they are pretty small depth compared to most guages. My clear plastic piece still looks flat though. Goodluck post some pics if you can.
What i did is trim the black piece and made it as flush as I can. Then i put the clear piece on top and took a heat gun and soften the plastic and if you can find some kind of roller to shape the clear part to kind of mold into the guage. This will allow you to mount the clear part back on...

I think you are speaking about braille batteries and Deka. Deka supposedly makes braille batteries. I am looking into that too. I found this link that compares braille to odssey though.
