The fuel filter has an inlet and outlet which should not be reversed...typically it is indicated on the filter itself either by an arrow indicating fuel flow or by Inlet/Outlet markings. Also, a spanner or flare wrench is worth its weight in gold when dealing with rusty fittings!!!

Just my two cents...
I did the rewiring on the previous page to eliminate the LFM and the mod worked perfectly!!! This is basically what I did:
GNw/WT to RDw/BL and RDw/WT (these are your brake lights...one for the tail and one for the high mount...GNw/WT is 12V from brake switch)
GNw/RD to...
^I did the exact opposite and installed an OEM boost gauge in my NA cluster. I did have to cut the ground trace that connected to the negative terminal of the voltmeter before I installed the boost gauge; so I guess you would have to do the opposite when installing an OEM voltmeter in a Turbo...
UPDATE: I installed another AFM this weekend and it fixed all of my problems. I have read several other posts about Supra owners going through several used AFM's before finding one that worked...I guess I got lucky in finding a good one right away. It is too bad that such a temperamental...
UPDATE: I had purchased a replacement AFM for my car and it too fixed all of the problems I was having. It looks like I got lucky and bought a good one the first time around. I still would like to test out my damaged AFM and see what the problem might be. It would be great if I could figure...
Any update on this issue? I am having some of the same symptoms with my 87' 7mgte...code 31, car dies easily if cold not to mention a bear to start, I have no power and no boost. I have checked pretty much everything mentioned in this thread and I am out of ideas.
