I sold my MK-III last year and the kid totalled it a couple months later. I was going to buy it back if he ever decided to sell it but I ran across an 88 Targa top with a recenty installed low mileage 7MGTE. Piced it up for a nice price. Body is excellent, paint is rough, suspension is shot...
Hey guys, some of you may remember me with the NA MK-III with every bolt on imaginable. I have been into E30 BMW's for about a year now and built an 84 325E, K26, 524TD manifold and some other unimportant stuff. anyway, I have a profec E-01 and an emanage blue. I need the settings for the...
Just recently my 88 NA developed a problem. When I start it up in the morning a puff of white smoke comes out of the exhaust. This does not happen every day but it will 50% of the time. Also if its parked for a few hours it will happen but not often. It never smokes while driving even if I...
Anyone running 18' btdc on 93 octane? I understand the recommended advance is 14-16 but I also know there are a lot of regions that do not supply 93 (including a majority of california where a lot of this information comes from)
Checked both sides of the connection with an ohm meter and came up within spec. The only thing I know that is not hooked up for sure is the rear knock sensor. Could this cause a code 31?
I thought my timing light was dead but it works fine on my NA supra. Can't get a signal out of it. Cylinder #1 is firing but just cant pick it up. Changed plugs and wires too.
My brake light indicator came on recently so I checked them and the only brake light that comes on is the cyclops. Are there different switches that go to the brake lights? Anyone else have this problem? I checked fuses, grounds and bulbs.
Well damn, i thought I had everything done now I have a code 31 (AFM signal) I cleared all the other codes but this one comes back. Should I ground the AFM? How do I check the AFM?
I thought my timing light was broken until I tried it on my other supra. The tach in the car stopped working the exact same time the CEL stopped working. It looks like I have finally got all the wires on the harness right but no tach signal or cel signal. Any ideas?
I was thinking about getting a set of Adjustable cam gears for my 88. Only problem is they really need to be tuned on a dyno. I was hoping someone here already has done the legwork and could post the optimal settings for adjustable cam gears for the NA. Optimal meaning the most HP/TQ. across the...
Dont know where these 2 wires go but as you can see the more than likely connect somewhere on the passenger side of the engine.
the next 2 gome out of the firewall under the afm .
Then theres this plug which looks like a cold start injector plug on my NA but cant find the cold...
I can't get the CEL to come on with diagnostics or when the ignition is on. I went through the harness and everything appeard to be in order. Is it common that these ECU's go bad? ANy way to test it?
I'm working on a 87T for a guy. The car was brought to me with no plumbing done on the intake. I hooked up all the pipes and vacuum hoses, set the CPS properly, set the timing etc... The car fires right up every time and idles perfect. When i give it gas it seems to have slow response and chokes...

I have an OBX underdrive pulley but the company stated that stock belts would work, this is not the case. Does anyone have the #'s for unorthodox sizes? The pulleys look identical so im sure those belt sizes will work.
I see that these radiator pipes for the 7mge cost $85 and up. i see the MKIV ones on ebay for $35 shipped. Just wondering how close of a fit they are. It looks like they could be cut to fit...
