I had this problem once...tried the relay idea and it worked, but I didn't like the way it looked. Decided the best fix was just to swap out the motor with a 2JZGTE. Problem solved! Best, Brad

That's what I'm leaning towards too. HKS must have made a change between the pre-89 and 98+ year model. That might explain why the black/black-white power wire mine came with looked a little out of place. Might have been a mid-production line change. Best, Brad
