Alright I have a 87 Na-T with a stock 7mgte in it now. As of now were rebuilding the turbo due to bad seals(hopefully that solves my other problem). Well i took the turbo off today and was messing with the wastegate just playing around and its a good thing i did cause it came to my attention...

I did a NA-T swap in my 87 and finally got it to run today, but it needed carburetor cleaner sprayed into the intake tell it could run on its own. the timing is correct, the fuses are good, theres good fuel pressure, everything is connected correctly. and as far as i know there are no codes...

im doing a engine swap and im putting in a 7mgte, but im looking for aftermarket headers, and i found these. my question is, wat about the turn down on the back of the turbo, do i need to block it off, or connect it with the rest of the exhaust?

i have a N/A 87 3.0l v6 and the engine is making a thumping sound(like something is hitting against something) any ideals?
