well I took the money and paid off some debt, maybe later on ill look for something in the 91+ range. I didnt realize that the 90's were the same as the 89's. I would like those bigger speakers!
ahhh So I sold it last week and I miss it. I've been hitching rides because the Rx is not finished yet. I heard the that the owner is dropping a 1JZ in it.
hhaha tell me about it. Its a great deal and i wont pass it up. I hope I do find another one. Thanks. Good luck with yours
Ill have it for a few more weeks while i get the Rx-7 prepped for the road. I intend on take off the targa as much as possible cruising the streets.
I dont know much about ignition systems, however, I think it would be great if you could set it up so the key cannot turn the motor. Then hide a push start button somewhere in the car, almost like using a kill switch for security reasons.
thanks for all our thoughts. I guess I will be leaving the Supra game for a while. I sure am going to miss her but the guy agreed to 6K, which i cannot refuse. I may find another clean one down the road, but in the mean while I'm going to be looking for a reliable car to get around in.
6,500 sounds very nice. I doubt he'd go for it, but its worth a shot. Btw your car is beautiful!

I would have to look but I'm sure i have them some where. I did put all quality items into the car...
You guys do prove good points. I do love the car but if I could find a 90+ in midnight blue, I'd defiantly take his offer. But I also had this car re-sprayed.. AHHHH decisions decisions. I guess it would be a good oppurtunity to bring my 94 Rx-7 back out on the road for a while. Ill let you guys...
hey guys,
So about a year ago I bought my newest Supra. It's a Midnight blue 89 Turbo Targa. I bought it off a guy that was in a financial crisis at the time. He was desperate to sell and I always wanted this particular set up being an 89+ Targa 5-speed with Twin turbo wheels...
lol i never even realized there was a visitors section.
White- I already bought an entire swap a while back. You probably sold your stuff already anyway.
IBoughtASupra- thats a great name. Im around Hollis, You?
there are no wheel spacers on it. But I've know others guys that have had MKIV rims on MKIII's with no wheel spacers and they didnt look like mine. Could it be the TT brake setup changing the offset of the front wheels?
Hows it going?
I havent read through this whole Thread, however, I have an issue with my set up. I bought the car last year. It's an 89 turbo. The previous owner put MKIV wheels on with twin turbo brake set up. The suspension is H&R springs with KYB struts. When I turn the wheel all the way to...
wow this turned into an experiment. thanks for all the info, Im definatly buying a brand new one from the dealer. You guys are pretty crafty, good luck!
i did run a vac to the top until it started leaking coolant. Thats when i took off the vac and started freezing on the way to work in the mornings. Afternoons...not so bad. I drive with my hood on lol.
Hey guys, my heater valve went on my 89. Do you guys think it's worth it to buy a heater control valve from the dealer for 150 or should i just buy a used one?
I see the used ones going for about 20-40 bucks.
wow thats alot of feed back. Thanks for getting back to me. It looks like the BIC DDP takes the prize. I just hope it helps with entering my parking garage at work. I go in completely side ways and still manage to graze a little. I guess ill have to get a test pipe as well since the previous...
Hey guys,
I need to buy a new 3" downpipe. I have the turbo elbow. The one that is on the car hangs too low (not to mention that i have H&R springs on her) and has pulled the exhaust manifold out of the head ripping the threads. Does anyone know which DP hangs the highest?
