Yes I know, I know, why would I do such a thing, and the only answer I have is that it was cheaper, because I bought a whole running parts car, and I didn't have a motor or trans or anything due to an attempt at a previous V8 swap. So the problem I seem to be having, is the car began life...

Is there a proper way to refill the converter after the fluid pours out? i mean I don't expect the new trans to lose any fluid although I am adding new fluid while its out of the car.

Sweet, well the motor and trans will actually be out of the car when I am doing this, so I don't think it should be that hard in those regards, however like I said im just trying to minimize the amount of tranny fluid wasted and that kind of thing.

Haynes manual I've got doesnt tell you to remove the fork, I went thru a great deal of frustration with this as well, then just removed the fork.

I would also like to know this, mine seems to be an intermittent problem as it only seems to do it once in awhile.

Ok so got that issue solved, now as for the issue of whether or not to use a AFPR, can anyone solve this mystery for me? Explain the benefits and that kind of thing?
