Sounds to me like your coils are cracked. Mine did the same exact thing. Put nail polish on the cracks and used a heavy duty heat shrink and took care of my problem....... well until my ecu crapped out

Mine has a little black stuff on that same cap. But its not as bad as yours I can see copper in the pic, and when that cap went out on mine the car would run it would just be hella rich. I ordered an igniter Jus to eliminate that as a possible problem. Should be here next couple days I'll let ya...

Toyota seals obviously had problems. This is a very common problem on jz series engine.
I'm goin with Vitton style seals which are a lot better seals the OEM. And are the same price.

I just found this out. I went to napa and I tried buying 2j intake and 4afe exhaust and both felpro p/n are exactly the same for intake and exhaust for both motors. Thanks for your help guys
