Yeah 4th gear, Filmed on a phone so yeah it when it cuts out the audio is peaking... I put alot of 2jz's to shame that day after they called the 7m "an inferior engine"

as i've said before.
1. stop waste gate shaft arm movement as detailed in earlier pages
2. preload actuator & install a good boost controller
3. seal compressor housing (not necessary but i did anyway)
4. make sure you have no boost leaks.

looks the same as mine, it didn't come loose until after a few heat cycles. id still secure it with a grub screw! having said that they modified the flapper arm so it wont catch on the housing as easy! its nice to see our feedback taken seriously!
Metal headgaskets do not "pop" Infact i'd be willing to bet you'll break the head first before the head gasket, I had one that didnt seal properly last about 9000km before i pulled it off, the gasket "looked fine" apart from the viton was eaten away.

First up stop guessing that'll get you no where quick. Facts: Your turbo has seized once, You cannot build boost, the factory gauge does not measure in PSI (well AUS delivered ones don't anyway, not %100 sure about USA but i doubt it.)

nope, using the waste gate that came with it. I simply fixed more leaks and replacing alot of rubber hose with stainless piping. The boost control still could be refined but its not uncontrollable any more, Having said that i have not had to the chance to take the car anywhere i can hit high rpm...
