Curious to see if anyone has ever mini tubbed an mk3? I currently run a set of the MT 275 pros out back, but in order to run them I need to use a set of shock spacers/adapters.
Im looking to push the tire out towards the quarter panel, stretch and roll the fenders a bit more and hopefully...
Its a BW S475. Its basically a 75mm turbo with the largest T6 turbine housing they make for it. We made a few more hits last year and bettered our MPH, but we had a ton of issues getting the launch dialed in (and not breaking diffs). The best I could do was 10.88 at 134mph at 21lbs of boost...
Unfortunately at our track, they will test it to make sure its working, so not having one isnt really an option. I could put it on a toggle switch, but id rather not.
With a twin disk pull style clutch, I don't see how it would be hard on a thrust bearing starting it with the clutch pedal...
I am swapping back from a TH400 to a V160, I was looking at the two clutch switches last night and realized that there two of them on the clutch pedal assembly. I'm assuming the two wire was used for a clutch safety switch when starting the car, but wondered what the 3 wire switch was for...
Sorry I didnt see this earlier, I had contemplated buying a DS from DSS and running the same setup with a CV. With my new v160, Im going to try a shaft with the CV and see how it works. I'll let you know in another month or so.
Do you happen to have any pictures? This is the brackets and engine mount I am using. With the pre89 subframe, obviously the dowel locations are not correct.
I need to replace the subframe anyways, from damage the previous owner did, so I was hoping to find the correct one that will fit...
That was the exact picture I was looking for. Now, does anyone happen to know if the 98+ mk4 2jz mounts fit in the dowel locations on an 89+ subframe?
It also looks like the angle at which the engine mounts contact the subframe is much steeper on the 89+ subframe versus the pre89? Can anyone...
Ive been trying to find a few pictures so I can have a look at the engine mounting differences of the pre 89 and post 89 front subframe. If anyone has a picture of either that they could post up, that would be great.
Thanks.
Well, after another summer of trying to get this vibration sorted out, I still have not been successful. We are going to replace the converter this winter, and re-check everything and see if we cant sort this out. I may also replace the stock flex plate and see if this may be causing the issue...
Well, I can tell you that it definitly does not like a 1.31 60' at the track! It made one pass like that, then I sheared the pinion off. If you're only driving the car on the street, and you can avoid hard launches, I think you'll be fine. Like mentioned earlier in this thread, there is a few...
