Just wondering if the stock sawblades would clear the S500 brake upgrade.
Car needs brakes before it goes on the road so was planning on upgrading... didnt have coin for new wheels right now but may have to wait a bit...

NVM... I just turned them down so they all matched and put em' in. Head is on and torqued to 90ft. lbs. (in 20lb increments). I'll let it sit overnight and retorque.

Got the head put on... studs and washers in... however half the nuts that came with my studs are a different OD. Roughly 6 have a larger OD (same thread size and socket size) but they wont fit in the head. The flange on the nut is slightly larger and it hits the...

After letting the car sit for a year.. I decided to finally get this car going again.
I went to thread in my ARP studs (bought from a member here so no instruction sheet)... When threaded in the block, hex hole on the top of the stud, there is roughly 1/4" of threads...
For some reason, the link didnt work... but I'm probably going to order a Lisle 15000. After doing some reading, guys have even used this specific hone to bore a cylinder and managed to keep it straight. Guy claimed to take .020" without any tapering (no I dont think thats a good idea...
Believe me... I WISH there was a competent machine shop in my area. The shops around here can't even get a small block chevy right... The shops around here are paying 10-12/hr so most of the guys that are there are just there for a paycheck...

I had read a member here had built an engine and didn't replace the piston coolers... overlooked them. After assembly, he was only seeing 4psi at hot idle with tight clearences... pulled it back apart and changed the piston coolers and it came up to 10psi.. this is where I...
At this point... not concerned at all as that's well within spec. My problem was the no oil pressure... POS mechanical gauge. Lol
